📋 Description

• Prepare, submit, track, and follow up on Requests for Authorization (RFAs) from initiation to resolution • Oversee Workers’ Compensation referrals from start to finish, adhering to California guidelines and timelines • Coordinate patient appointments and procedures once treatment authorization is secured • Upload referral requests, supporting medical records, and case notes into ModMed • Enter billing charges associated with referral requests accurately and promptly • Act as the primary contact among insurance carriers, TPAs, claims adjusters, patients, and healthcare providers • Maintain organized records so pending authorizations and referrals are not overlooked

🎯 Requirements

• Proven hands-on experience navigating California Workers’ Compensation referral and authorization processes • Background as a dedicated Workers’ Comp Referrals Coordinator in a medical setting • Skilled in communicating and negotiating authorization status with insurance companies, adjusters, TPAs, patients, and providers • Full-time contractor schedule of 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8am–5pm PST
