Description
• Every record in our data warehouse is vitally important for the businesses that use Stripe, so we’re looking for people with a strong background in data engineering and analytics to help us scale while maintaining correct and complete data. You’ll be working with a variety of internal teams across Sales, Engineering, Finance, Product, and Accounting to ensure data completeness and billing reliability. Your work will directly improve Stripe user experience by ensuring billing accuracy allowing Stripe to scale new commercial models.
Requirements
• 2+ years of experience in a Data Analyst, Financial Analyst, Operations Engineering, or Data Engineering Role, with a focus on writing complex SQL to query relational databases • A strong business and technical background with an interest in growth, product, data, and scaling challenges • An inquisitive nature in diving into data inconsistencies to pinpoint issues, and resolve deep rooted data quality issues • Knowledge of a scientific computing language (such as Scala or Python) and SQL • Strong analytical skills to investigate, prioritize, and identify the root cause of non-trivial issues • Experience managing communications and workflows with technical and non-technical teams across internal and external stakeholders (including external vendors) • Comfortable operating independently and thriving in a fast-paced, results-focused environment, with an ability to establish priorities and reliably execute against time-sensitive deadlines • Experience managing multiple, concurrent work streams, keeping them on track, defining metrics, and reporting on them crisply
