Description

• Collaborate with the Platform Team to develop and build robust and reliable technical infrastructure and tooling. • Integrate security best-practices into the development and maintenance of our platform. • Leverage Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) and Configuration Management tools to automate security configurations. • Championing DevSecOps culture and practices throughout our engineering teams. • Advocate for security, ensuring that security considerations are integrated in all stages of the software development process. • Accelerate our transition to Continuous Delivery while maintaining a strong focus on security. • Implement security measures into CI/CD pipelines to detect and correct vulnerabilities early in the process. • Enhance the security posture of the infrastructure, systems, and applications through effective observability using technologies such as Prometheus, ELK, and CloudWatch. • Strive to automate security processes and procedures to ensure the efficacy and consistency in security measures.

Requirements

• Bring a strong history in security practices, demonstrating a proactive and preventive approach to system and application security. • Build on your previous experience of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), Configuration Management, and cloud services to improve the security of our platform. • Demonstrate competence with security tools and frameworks, integrating them seamlessly into the development lifecycle. • Collaborating effectively with engineering teams is essential to instil a security-first mindset and provide guidance on secure coding practices. • Apply your programming/scripting skills (Java, Bash, Python, Go, or similar) to implement and automate security measures. • Demonstrate experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or other container orchestration technologies, ensuring the security of containerised applications. • Demonstrate skill in developing and securing complicated CI/CD pipelines, with a focus on secure deployment methods. • Have a good understanding of Linux, leveraging it securely within our platform. • Work with YAML and Markdown with ease, contributing to thorough and clear documentation of security practices and configurations.
