• Manage the day-to-day financial operations of the accounting department, including but not limited to procurement review, vendor payments, and revenue/expense reporting • Review and approve financial transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and procedures • Oversee monthly general ledger close and reporting process • Ensure that financial records are maintained accurately and up-to-date in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and other relevant regulations • Collaborate with compliance and legal teams to ensure financial compliance with various state and federal jurisdictions. Stay updated on changes in regulatory requirements and implement necessary adjustments • Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, improve efficiency, and enhance internal controls. Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to optimize departmental operations • Assist in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and analyses as needed. Provide support to senior management in interpreting financial data and making informed decisions • Support external audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and assistance to auditors. Ensure timely completion of audit requests and address any audit findings or recommendations • Work closely with other departments, such as finance, operations, and human resources, to facilitate communication and ensure alignment of financial activities with organizational goals • Stay abreast of developments in accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in accounting or finance roles, with demonstrated proficiency in managing financial operations. CPA is required • Adaptive to fast-paced changing environments • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards (GAAP), and regulatory compliance requirements • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends and insights • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate financial information clearly and concisely • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy in work output • Proven ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Sage, NetSuite, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel
