📋 Description

• Process insurance claims, verify policy information, and ensure accurate billing • Track payments and follow up on outstanding balances • Communicate with insurance companies and patients to resolve billing discrepancies • Manage accounts receivable • Reconcile financial records • Generate reports for management • Answer patient and telephone inquiries related to billed claims • Perform billing functions within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system

🎯 Requirements

• Knowledge of working aging reports, researching unpaid claims, and submitting appeals to insurance companies • Ability to answer patient and telephone inquiries related to billed claims with courtesy and thoroughness • Ability to perform billing functions within an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system • Raintree experience is preferred • Excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team • Demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations and resolve conflicts effectively • Experience with Medicare, Workers’ Compensation, Commercial, Medicaid, and Auto/MVA insurance • Experience working with litigation attorneys • Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word • High school graduate or equivalent • 1+ years of previous medical billing experience OR a graduate of Medical Billing School • Detail oriented • Enjoys structure and organization
