Description

• As a VMware Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, installation, configuration, management, and troubleshooting of the organization's VMware virtual environment. You will ensure system availability and reliability, monitor system performance, and maintain system security. You will also participate in disaster recovery initiatives and platform upgrades.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications such as VMware Certified Professional (VCP) or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP) are highly desirable. Experience: At least 5 years of experience in system administration or engineering, with a strong focus on VMware products. Technical Skills: Deep expertise in VMware products such as vSphere, vCenter, vSAN, and NSX. Familiarity with other IT infrastructure technologies such as storage, networking, and server hardware is also required. Experience with scripting and automation (using tools like PowerCLI or Ansible) is a plus. Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements: Depending on the specific role and location, this may involve working in a data center environment and handling heavy equipment. Other: Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation and to travel, as needed.
