Description

• Develop backend architecture and services supporting multiple backend apps • Build the next generation of B2B Commerce platform • Design, implement, and operate critical and scalable services • Build and evolve complex data models • Collaborate with teams to understand product requirements and deliver innovative solutions • Write high-quality code and contribute to code reviews and technical design • Join on-call rotation to drive continuous improvements in system reliability and performance • Manage deployments and monitor runtime metrics • Advocate for best practices in system availability, scalability, observability, and cost management • Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers in the team • Partner with manager to improve team growth and efficiency processes

Requirements

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science and Engineering • 8+ years of experience in backend systems with 5+ years in technical leadership roles • Experience in architecting, building, launching, and maintaining large and complex systems • Advanced knowledge in Ruby on Rails, Python, Java, or Go • Experience with NoSQL solutions, SQL (e.g. PostgreSQL), and Caching technologies (e.g. Redis / Memcache) • Ability to adapt software engineering best practices to backend environment • Understanding of operational aspects of work and participation in incident resolution • Experience in providing high-quality code reviews, feedback, and helping team members grow • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills • Collaborative team player with design and business acumen
