Description

• Responsible for leading the financial planning, management, and reporting functions of the organization • Providing strategic financial guidance to senior management • Ensuring the company's financial health and compliance • Optimizing financial performance to support business objectives • Overseeing and building FP&A, accounting and treasury teams • Partnering with leaders across the company to help shape strategies and priorities • Leading, growing, and inspiring a team of seasoned finance professionals • Enabling and delivering Waabi’s strategic and financial goals • Comprehensive budget preparation and oversight • Producing accurate and timely financial reports • Managing cash flow, investments, and banking relationships • Working closely with the leadership on pro-forma modeling, planning, investor communications and fundraising activities • Ensuring compliance with all relevant financial regulations, accounting standards, and tax requirements • Identifying and mitigating financial risks • Developing, enhancing, and refining financial systems and procedures

Requirements

• Bachelor degree or higher in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, or equivalent; MBA, CFA, and/or CPA certification preferred • 15+ years of progressive experience in senior finance leadership positions • 10+ years of finance leadership experience preferably within the technology industry in the US or Canada • Comprehensive understanding of financial management, analysis, tools and reporting methodologies • Strong expertise in financial regulations, accounting principles, and taxation • Experience in developing internal controls and financial processes • Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail • Experience and excitement in supporting a dynamic, high-growth environment • Adherence to high ethical standards and integrity
