📋 Description

• Own the accounts payable cycle for US and India entities, including vendor onboarding, invoice processing, approval routing, and payment runs • Issue customer invoices from signed order forms and maintain billing schedules • Track aging, follow up on collections, and apply cash • Submit and track invoices through SAP Ariba and Coupa procurement portals • Review order forms for billing terms and set up new customers • Maintain the renewals calendar in HubSpot and bridge Sales and Finance • Prepare reconciliations, accrual schedules, and supporting workpapers in Rillet • Work with external accountants and progressively bring close tasks in-house • Build KPI schedules, spend and cash reporting, and runway tracking for investor updates and board materials • Maintain Carta and respond quickly to investor data requests • Own US compliance activities including 1099 preparation, Delaware franchise tax, state registrations, sales tax filings via Anrok, and annual report deadlines • Manage employment-side compliance through Rippling and track business insurance renewals • Own India statutory and employment compliance, including GST, TDS, MCA/ROC filings, PF, ESI, professional tax, gratuity, and shops and establishments • Manage the group health insurance renewal • Handle expense management, payroll inputs, banking hygiene, and ad hoc leadership reporting

🎯 Requirements

• 3–6 years running finance and accounting operations for US clients or a US company • Commerce or finance degree (B.Com, M.Com, or MBA) • Personally owned AP or AR for a US entity • Working knowledge of US compliance, including 1099s, franchise tax, and sales tax concepts • Working knowledge of India statutory compliance, including GST and TDS • Daily hands-on use of QuickBooks, NetSuite, Rillet, or a comparable GL • Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills • Excellent written English • Based in India • Comfortable with late-evening or early-morning IST calls each week • CA Inter or newly qualified CA is a strong plus • Experience with Rillet, Brex, Rippling, Carta, Anrok, HubSpot, Tally, SAP Ariba, or Coupa is a strong plus • SaaS billing experience is a strong plus • Investor or board reporting exposure is a strong plus • Experience moving work in-house from an outsourced accounting firm is a strong plus
