Description

• Write clean and scalable code using a variety of languages primarily Ruby and Java Script • Build components for web applications pragmatically, focusing on performance and security • Troubleshoot application issues, adeptly debugging and rectifying errors to ensure the best user experience • Actively provide technical insight and participate in code reviews • Thoroughly test code and write effective automated tests • Uphold best practices and maintain high standards for engineering and product quality • Improve, monitor, and maintain applications after deployment • Coordinate with team members who work on different layers of product life cycle including Product Managers, QA Specialists and DevOps Engineers • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of Ruby on Rails experience • A minimum of 3 years of experience with JavaScript and at least one front-end framework such as Angular, React, Vue or equivalent • Solid database experience, preferably with MySQL, PostgreSQL and Redis • Experience with Elasticsearch and MongoDB is a plus • Familiarity with using Docker, Git and a Linux environment is preferred • Strong problem solving skills and is able to craft solutions within the expected timeline • Must be results-driven, have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced Agile environment with large scale SaaS products • A degree or diploma that contributes to the organization or role is considered an asset • Must be very detail-oriented, and have a passion for programming • Self-motivated with the ability to establish and maintain solid relationships through a client-first mentality • As part of a diverse team, ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment • Must be technical, and analytical, and have the ability to manage complex projects seamlessly • Fluent in English (spoken and written) and able to communicate effectively with ease. Knowledge of a second language is considered an asset • Willing to participate in ongoing education and training for the role
