• As the Accounting Manager at Writer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the company's financial health and success. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of accounting functions, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and managing accounts payable and receivables. Requirements

• Strong accounting and financial management skills • Ability to prepare and analyze financial statements, with timely and accurate close • Track record of managing first audit at growth technology companies • Experience with budgeting and forecasting • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Experience leading accounting team, and working independently • Proficiency in accounting software, with experience upgrading ERP • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations • Attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • CPA, with at least 10 years of experience • High intellectual curiosity and a proclivity to lean into a new subject matter • A trusted advisor and partner for all levels of the organization • Intrinsically motivated: you set the highest possible bar for what you build and ship • An eye for spotting an opportunity, intuition for determining which ones to prioritize, and courage to follow through • Possesses humility — no work is too trivial if it’s impactful • Resilient and open to honest (and kind) feedback; tough skin • Self-aware and committed to learning the why for both successes and failures • Proactive communication skills, both sync and async • Experience managing and building relationships across multiple departments and stakeholder levels • A natural affinity to our values of connect, challenge, own
