Description

• As the Director of Product Management, primary focus is to ensure that product teams are building valuable solutions to customer problems within the context of a viable business, and in line with Company Strategy, Product Strategy and Product Vision. Lead and scale the Product Management function and will work with other functional leaders in Product Marketing, Product Experience and Product Ops as well as the SVP Product to ensure product ops are operating in a focused, efficient manner to deliver on product investments.

Requirements

• Customer-centric mindset: A clear track record of making decisions based on outcomes over outputs, and driving a product lifecycle through teams using an empowered product team model driving insights and solutions from a deep understanding of customer needs. • Team building / management: An ability to build, motivate and coach a high-performing product management team in measurable ways • Leadership and Influence: An ability to guide product teams, influence cross-functional partners and drive decisions • Advising: An ability to advise on quarterly and annual planning and goal-setting for the department • Synthesis: An ability to see the forest through the trees and identify patterns through recurring problem sets both on external facing product and internal facing processes • Continuous learning: Adapting to new industry trends and technologies • Decision-Making: Has lead cross-functional, strategic projects, driving some decisions impacting a company’s direction and growth • Product Frameworks: Familiarity with major product frameworks, and ability to adapt those frameworks to an organization’s market and strategic context • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical background to understand the product’s underlying technology, and an ability to work closely with engineering teams on feasible solutions and to coach PMs on where to push back • Business Acumen: An understanding of financial metrics, budgeting and P&L, and an ability to connect business goals to product outcomes, driving from the former • Strategy and Alignment: Has demonstrated expertise in distilling company strategy into action and tangible tasks for product pods to own and distill into work. Provides insights and inputs in the formation of product strategy and vision. • Process: Has implemented (and documented) processes that have helped a team work better with the rest of the company, including with Sr. Leadership. • Data-Driven Decision Making: An ability to leverage data analytics, A/B testing and user research to inform product decisions and measure success
