📋 Description

• Support the Small Business Administration in production implementation, support, and operations of a custom AWS-based solution • Operate and maintain the SBA legacy system • Modernize cloud infrastructure • Deploy development, testing, and production environments for a disaster loan application system in AWS • Enable SBA technology staff to rapidly develop and expand disaster loan system functionality • Research, design, develop, and test operating-systems-level software, compilers, and network distribution software • Set operational specifications and formulate and analyze software requirements • Design embedded systems software when needed • Apply computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis principles • Remain available for assigned duties during established duty hours and participate in virtual collaboration • Protect government, company, and customer information from unauthorized access, disclosure, or observation • Participate in occasional in-person meetings, training, or other activities when directed • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or demonstrated expertise through relevant work experience, certifications, or specialized training in lieu of formal education • 5+ years of experience managing software design, development, testing, and deployment in an enterprise environment • Ability to obtain and maintain required government suitability or clearance, as required by contract • Strong ability to interact with customers, clients, and team members and communicate technical concepts in written and verbal formats • Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), Agile, DevOps, and CI/CD best practices • Experience in solution architecture and full-stack development • Understanding of cloud computing, software scalability, and secure system design • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP • Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure as Code, containerization and orchestration, monitoring and logging • Familiarity with AWS services including EC2, Lambda, ECS, EKS, S3, Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, RDS, QuickSight, Athena, Redshift, IAM, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, AWS Config, GuardDuty, VPN, VPC, API Gateway, and SFTP • Familiarity with Python, Django, Flask, Node.js, JavaScript, Vue.js, React, PostgreSQL, MySQL, NoSQL, MongoDB, Tableau, Power BI, SAS, HTTPS, authentication, and authorization mechanisms • Intensive analytical and advanced problem-solving skills • Comprehension of networking and distributed computing concepts • Technical understanding of data communications and data center technology • Ability to communicate security policies, standards, regulatory compliance issues, and remediation recommendations • Ability to maintain a secure, distraction-free, ergonomically appropriate remote workspace with reliable high-speed internet, dependable power, and dedicated workspace • Must remain available during established duty hours and monitor Slack, email, and virtual meeting systems • Must comply with telework, information security, SBA security, privacy, data protection, Clear Desk/Clear Screen, VPN, contractual, and government security requirements
