📋 Description

• Lead design-technology training programs, workshops, and onboarding • Continuously upskill engineering staff and CAD production teams • Establish and enforce practice-wide and project-specific BIM Execution Plans, workflows, and protocols • Oversee multidisciplinary modeling operations in Autodesk Revit • Set project coordinates, shared parameters, LOD 100–500, and COBie data standards • Author project BIM scopes and technical labor estimates for proposals, contracts, and resource planning • Assemble and maintain 3D federated models using Autodesk Navisworks • Run clash detection and chair coordination meetings • Generate mitigation reports and drive issue resolution • Direct Common Data Environment workflows and file exchange procedures • Perform quality assurance and model health audits • Deliver visual sequencing and advanced presentations using InfraWorks, Navisworks Timeliner, and Twinmotion • Translate engineering intent into BIM deliverables • Oversee geospatial data transformations integrating LiDAR point clouds, DEMs, and field survey control • Bridge civil infrastructure with vertical infrastructure through cross-platform data integration • Act as primary BIM authority in client-facing milestones, kickoff meetings, coordination reviews, and project closeouts • Mentor junior designers and resolve complex technical modeling bottlenecks • Work as a production designer and contributor to AECOM Digital innovations team

🎯 Requirements

• BA/BS + 8 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education • Sponsorship is available for this role • 15+ years of relevant experience preferred • 12+ years of Revit experience in large-scale/complex multidisciplinary projects preferred • Proficiency with MicroStation, OpenRoads, Civil 3D, BIM 360/ACC, Dynamo, ProjectWise, Microsoft Excel, Google Earth, Navisworks, InfraWorks, Vehicle Tracking, ReCap, ESRI GIS, Blue Marble Global Mapper, or another GIS application • Experience with OpenGround, GeoPak, and Plant 3D is a plus • Strong technical progression within civil engineering and design • Comprehensive knowledge of industry standards • Excellent leadership and communication skills • Demonstrable civil modeling ability on large-scale/complex multidisciplinary projects • Ability to work as a production designer and contributor to AECOM Digital innovations team • Must attend an in-person Day 1 onboarding at an AECOM office location
