📋 Description

• Work on tasks contributing to the team’s projects and goals • Collaborate proactively with the team and stakeholders • Communicate risks and trade-offs and create visibility around the work • Balance speed and quality while protecting systems from downtime • Participate in growth and development activities • Develop backend APIs used by partners and merchants to integrate with Affirm, including systems powering partners such as Amazon and Stripe

🎯 Requirements

• Previous work or internship experience designing, developing and launching backend systems at scale • Experience using Python or Kotlin • Familiarity with distributed systems, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes • Ability to design solutions involving multiple software components • Ability to write clear, well-tested, extensible code • Ability to navigate large codebases and debug others' code • Experience providing feedback through code reviews • Strong verbal and written communication skills • Equivalent practical experience or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field
