📋 Description

• Partner with Afresh's account lead and customer technical teams to scope and architect work, including data sources, architecture, and production path • Embed with customer data and engineering teams remotely and on-site • Integrate into customer cloud and data platforms • Build production-grade pipelines and model messy enterprise data into trustworthy data products • Design and ship production-ready LLM- and agent-powered systems, including retrieval, agentic workflows, data-quality agents, and analytics agents • Harden field solutions into the shared platform, including knowledge graphs, ontologies, retrieval, agent frameworks, and serving infrastructure • Build evaluations, tracing, and tooling to measure accuracy, hallucination rate, latency, and cost • Create clean interfaces and reusable building blocks rather than one-off customer code • Feed field learnings into the platform and apply platform improvements to future customers

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years building production software and data systems, with strong, production-grade code • Ability to take ambiguous problems and messy data landscapes, design clean and workable solutions, and build them • AI/LLM depth, including real systems with LLMs and agents, retrieval/RAG, and tool-use • Experience evaluating AI/LLM quality • Data-engineering depth, including building and operating data pipelines and modeling messy enterprise data • Experience with a modern cloud data platform such as Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake, or similar • Ability to work directly with customer engineers and data teams • Comfort traveling to customer sites regularly (~10-20%) • This position is not eligible for company sponsorship • Experience in grocery, retail, or supply chain data domains (nice to have) • Knowledge graphs, ontologies, semantic layers, graph/vector stores, hybrid search, MCP, agent frameworks, MLOps, model serving, and LLM observability (nice to have) • Prior forward-deployed, solutions, or implementation engineering, or early-stage startup experience (nice to have)
