📋 Description

• Provide senior-level technical expertise for transmission engineering projects • Lead complex transmission line design and analysis work • Perform transmission line designs from conceptual engineering through final design • Conduct EFM, conductor sizing, induction, impedance, losses, and voltage drop analysis • Perform conductor economic evaluations, lightning performance studies, grounding calculations, and electrical clearance determinations • Interpret and apply NERC, FERC, NESC, and regional regulatory standards • Prepare and review specifications, data sheets, RFQs, bid evaluations, vendor drawings, and purchase recommendations • Collaborate with project managers on scopes, schedules, budgets, staffing plans, construction support, and change order management • Perform and review QA/QC for engineering deliverables, production drawings, CAD outputs, and construction administration activities • Resolve design-related field issues • Lead field inspections, measurements, calculations, and installation reviews • Develop and present technical reports • Support marketing and business development efforts • Build relationships with clients and contractors • Mentor junior engineers • Ensure high-quality, accurate, and timely project deliverables

🎯 Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or Power Engineering (or related field) • 5+ years of transmission line engineering experience (design, analysis, modeling, or similar) • 5+ years of experience working with an electric utility, EPC, or engineering consulting firm • 5+ years of experience working in PLS-CADD • Knowledge of NESC, IEEE, ANSI, FERC-881, and FAC-008 standards preferred • Ability to plan and manage assignments and clearly communicate barriers to complete tasks on budget/schedule • Ability to work productively from a home office without direct supervision • Must submit the application directly as the applicant • Eligible applicants must meet applicable employment requirements
