📋 Description

• Report to the Development Manager • Lead the replatforming of established financial software used by Housing Finance Agencies • Help transform legacy applications into a modern, integrated platform • Translate existing financial-module functionality into new solutions and improve user experience • Define service structures, API contracts, and data-access patterns for assigned products • Design, build, and maintain web applications and RESTful APIs using C# and modern .NET technologies • Collaborate with database and front-end developers across application, database, and front-end layers • Develop and optimize SQL queries and stored procedures • Contribute to Angular functionality as needed • Troubleshoot complex issues across the application stack • Work with Product Management to translate requirements and the product roadmap into technical plans, development tasks, and estimates • Contribute throughout the agile development lifecycle, including design, coding, testing, deployment, and ongoing support • Document key technical decisions • Provide technical direction through design discussions, code reviews, and knowledge sharing • Establish consistent coding and design standards • Incorporate AI-assisted tools into development workflows and share practical approaches with colleagues

🎯 Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience developing and maintaining web applications and RESTful APIs using C# and .NET/.NET Core • Understanding of object-oriented programming, SOLID principles, and established design patterns • Experience designing back-end systems and making technical decisions about service structures, APIs, and data access • Working knowledge of Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS • Experience with SQL Server, T-SQL, stored procedures, and relational database design • Experience with Entity Framework Core or Dapper • Experience working with complex, established applications • Experience with automated testing and code reviews • Experience with cloud technologies such as Azure or AWS • Ability to communicate technical ideas clearly and work effectively with product stakeholders and distributed development teams • Exposure to legacy migrations, microservices, or financial software is valuable • Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, or Cursor, or interest in building those skills • Familiarity with Git and Azure DevOps is an asset • Must be based in the United States • Availability to work 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Eastern time
