📋 Description

• Own and deliver SRE projects end-to-end, from scoping and design through implementation, rollout, and documentation • Serve as a technical anchor for the SRE team through design reviews, complex debugging, and mentorship • Design and operate infrastructure across AWS, Azure, and on-prem environments • Build and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform and reusable modules • Lead operations and solutions spanning cloud and on-prem environments, including upgrades, capacity planning, networking, and scaling • Create repeatable runbooks and automation • Evolve CI/CD pipelines to reduce manual steps and improve rollback safety • Drive observability improvements through meaningful dashboards, SLOs, and low-noise alerting • Identify and execute FinOps initiatives across cloud platforms • Contribute to MySQL, PostgreSQL, and MSSQL database reliability, including backups, performance, replication, and failover testing • Strengthen security through least-privilege access, secrets management, monitoring, and audit readiness • Troubleshoot complex production issues across networking, cloud, compute, on-prem, Kubernetes, and databases • Write architecture decision records, runbooks, and post-incident action items • Partner with SRE leadership and engineering teams on incident reviews, migration planning, and platform strategy • Participate in on-call and drive systemic post-incident analysis

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Engineering • Progression from task execution to independent project ownership • Hands-on expertise in AWS, Azure, and on-prem infrastructure • Ability to architect resilient hybrid solutions and explain tradeoffs • Strong Terraform skills, including multi-environment state management and reviewing others’ IaC • CI/CD design and ownership with a track record of improving deployment reliability • Observability experience, including defining strategies to reduce alert noise • Strong written and verbal communication • Automation-first mindset with a record of reducing operational toil • Incident management experience, including post-incident reviews that fix the system • Ability to operate autonomously • FinOps experience across multiple cloud providers (nice-to-have) • Kubernetes (nice-to-have) • Mentorship ability (nice-to-have) • Secrets management experience, e.g. Vault (nice-to-have) • Event-driven architecture experience (nice-to-have) • Exposure to AI-enabled tooling and workflow automation (nice-to-have) • Experience with data warehouses such as Snowflake (nice-to-have) • Relevant AWS, Azure, CNCF, or HashiCorp certifications (nice-to-have) • Experience in a company that has grown through acquisitions and consolidated disparate infrastructure environments (nice-to-have) • Must be able to work in the United States • Visa sponsorship is not available for this position
