📋 Description

• Research, design, develop, secure, and deliver solutions facilitating communication with more than 2 million Automox agents deployed globally • Extend, enhance, and evolve event-driven services for new features in the Automox platform and endpoint software • Contribute to continuous improvement through testing, performance tuning, refactoring, usability improvements, and automation • Evaluate technical options, make clear recommendations, and move forward while inviting feedback and iteration • Apply a quality-first mindset and establish strong testing practices • Make data-driven development decisions and assess impact before production • Work with engineers, Product Managers, Program Managers, and Technical Support • Participate in service ownership, including understanding cost profiles, failure modes, and operational behavior • Contribute to significant technical decisions through the Architecture Review Board as experience grows

🎯 Requirements

• Programming experience in Golang or Java is preferred, although polyglots will be considered; versatility writing and developing software in a variety of languages • 3–5 years of experience designing, developing, testing, and monitoring applications deployed in a high availability SaaS environment • Professional experience shipping frontend features in a modern JavaScript framework using TypeScript • Comfortable owning the UI half of a feature built on the backend • Experience building production applications in cloud environments, especially AWS • Strong emphasis on security best practices • Familiarity with scaling microservice architectures and large-scale event ingestion platforms • Familiarity with scaling WebSockets and real-time messaging systems such as Kafka and MQTT • Familiarity with non-relational database systems such as DynamoDB • Familiarity with DevOps • Ability to pass a federal, state, and county background check • Ability to complete a local in-person verification • Must be able to work in the United States; Automox is not able to sponsor work visas • California and New York metro residents are not eligible for hiring • Excellent communication and collaboration in a cross-functional remote team environment
