📋 Description

• Provide strategic leadership for enterprise cloud and infrastructure platforms supporting critical IT, business, and clinical operations • Lead the design, implementation, modernization, and operational oversight of cloud, data center, compute, storage, virtualization, operating system, backup and recovery, disaster recovery, network, observability, automation, and operational support services • Establish and execute technology roadmaps aligned with organizational objectives • Define cloud strategy and target state, including governance and optimization of cloud services and SaaS platforms • Lead evaluation, selection, and implementation of software platforms and cloud services • Set platform product direction for internal cloud platforms, including landing zones, identity, automation enablement, observability, and container platforms • Own the cloud operating model, including service catalog, escalation model, SLAs/SLOs, and governance • Create cloud roadmaps and investment plans covering capabilities, deprecations, technical debt reduction, and modernization milestones • Establish cloud and platform standards, architecture patterns, reference designs, and approved services • Partner with Cybersecurity on cloud controls, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and compliance evidence generation • Provide leadership for identity, access, and role-based security for enterprise applications and cloud services • Manage cloud service lifecycle and change/release governance for shared platforms • Ensure digital engineering and integration enablement for system implementations and upgrades • Oversee application integration and data exchange between enterprise systems and cloud services • Lead application rewrite stream for data-center-to-cloud migration and maintain application modernization plans • Implement operational controls for account/subscription structure, network segmentation, secrets management, access reviews, and backup/disaster recovery posture • Drive operational excellence through incident management maturity, runbooks, on-call health, and post-incident learning • Lead and develop Cloud Platform Architects, cloud platform engineers, SRE/platform SRE, cloud security engineers, and digital engineers • Hire, coach, manage performance, and plan succession • Drive reliability engineering practices including SLOs/SLIs, error budgets, capacity planning, and resilience testing • Build a culture of automation and learning through blameless postmortems, reliability work, documentation discipline, and internal platform product thinking

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience • Minimum of 10 years of experience in leadership roles managing engineering teams • 5+ years of experience leading microservices cloud architecture, design and implementation at scale • Minimum of 3 years of Kubernetes-deployed workload experience on a cloud platform • Experience with AI development tools • Proven experience with platform operating models and product-driven delivery approaches • Hands-on experience designing and scaling public cloud platforms, preferably AWS and Azure • Experience with large-scale cloud migrations and modernization initiatives • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline • Preferred: Healthcare industry experience • Preferred: Professional-level certifications on public cloud platforms • Deep knowledge of at least one cloud provider among Google Cloud, AWS, and Azure, with working knowledge of other clouds • Experience with cloud cost optimization • Additional related education and/or experience preferred
