📋 Description

• Support quality assurance for business-critical provider portal and eligibility applications • Develop and execute test cases and test scripts • Perform functional, automation, performance, UI, API, database, system integration, regression, and end-to-end testing • Identify, document, and manage defects through the defect lifecycle • Validate application functionality across integrated systems • Work closely with application teams and external partners • Participate in Agile/Scrum delivery activities • Prepare testing strategy documents and test plans • Derive testing requirements from functional and business requirements • Review technical design documents and develop end-to-end integration test scenarios • Identify and create test data • Build and execute service/API validation scripts • Document and communicate test status and results • Assist in resolving issues identified by team members • Apply BCBST QA best practices, policies, and procedures • Support accurate, high-quality production releases, including occasional after-hours validation

🎯 Requirements

• Hands-on experience creating and executing test cases, performing functional testing, and identifying, documenting, and managing defects • Experience with Selenium WebDriver or comparable automation tools such as Playwright • Familiarity with Java and automation testing practices • Strong SQL skills, including writing queries and validating data within databases • API testing experience and familiarity with Bruno, REST Assured, or similar technologies • Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments • Healthcare payer or healthcare application testing experience preferred • Experience testing provider, eligibility, or similarly integrated web-based applications preferred • Experience with system integration, regression automation, and end-to-end testing preferred • Familiarity with hybrid automation frameworks and UI, web, API, and database validation preferred • Experience supporting user acceptance testing and production deployment validation preferred • Candidates located in the Eastern or Central time zones preferred • Sponsorship is not available • Bachelor's degree in information technology/software engineering or relevant work experience in the software industry or equivalent work experience required • Equivalent experience is defined as 2 years of professional work experience in the software industry • 1 year of experience in API or webservices testing • 2 years of experience writing SQL queries and testing reports • 2 years of experience testing web, mobile, interfaces, and back-end processing applications • 1 year of experience in test automation or performance, including troubleshooting issues • 1 year of working experience with Agile delivery teams • Coding/scripting skills • Ability to maintain professional relationships with vendors and external partners
