📋 Description

• Own the platform engineering strategy, roadmap, and delivery outcomes • Drive adoption of CI/CD templates, reusable modules, golden paths, and standardized environments • Establish Infrastructure as Code frameworks with reusable, versioned modules • Architect and manage multi-account AWS environments with governance, security guardrails, and automated onboarding • Enable self-service infrastructure, pipelines, and services through developer portals and APIs • Implement centralized observability for logs, metrics, and traces • Define and enforce standards for security, compliance, cost optimization, and reliability • Partner with application engineering teams to onboard them onto the platform • Serve as SME for microservices, event-driven architectures, serverless, and container platforms • Lead reliability initiatives involving SLOs, SLIs, error budgets, and resilience engineering • Manage system-wide risks, dependencies, and trade-offs • Collaborate with architects on scalable data and integration patterns • Mentor platform engineers and DevOps teams • Establish KPIs for platform adoption, developer productivity, deployment efficiency, and operational maturity • Bridge infrastructure, security, and application teams to promote a platform-first engineering culture

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or Business/Technology Management, or relevant experience • Extensive experience in platform engineering, DevOps, or cloud infrastructure roles, with strong focus on building internal platforms at scale • Deep expertise in AWS services including EC2, Lambda, EKS/ECS, S3, VPC, SQS, SNS, and EventBridge • Strong hands-on experience with Terraform, CDK, and CloudFormation, including reusable modules and frameworks • Experience with Backstage or equivalent developer portals and self-service tooling • Advanced CI/CD knowledge using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or AWS-native services • Understanding of cloud security best practices including IAM, KMS, secrets management, network isolation, and compliance enforcement • Experience managing multi-account AWS environments with centralized governance, logging, and monitoring • Hands-on experience with Datadog, ELK, and CloudWatch, and defining SLO-driven monitoring practices • Expertise in Docker and Kubernetes/EKS • Understanding of developer experience principles • Proficiency in Python, Bash, or similar scripting and automation languages • Proven ability to influence engineering teams to adopt platform standards and best practices • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills • Excellent communication skills • Ability to learn new technologies and adapt platform strategy
