📋 Description

• Execute systems engineering activities across R&D systems, externally developed platforms, integrations, and foundational ML/AI/genAI patterns • Translate technical standards, architecture direction, implementation plans, and operational expectations into reliable delivery • Coordinate with Enterprise IT, vendors, R&D stakeholders, and GRDTS peers • Support technical design reviews, dependency tracking, access/environment coordination, and issue resolution • Manage systems engineering across on-premises, hybrid cloud, vendor-hosted, and multi-tenant SaaS environments • Develop and maintain technical documentation, integration designs, deployment plans, environment details, runbooks, and lifecycle artifacts • Coordinate secure integrations connecting third-party platforms, internal systems, and scientific data flows • Implement observability, telemetry, monitoring, alerting, and supportability practices • Support HPC clusters, containerized environments, storage layers, data lakes, and pipelines • Execute patch coordination, release preparation, deployment inputs, and transition to steady-state support • Implement RAG, vector store, semantic retrieval, secure AI gateway, multi-agent orchestration, and multimodal integration patterns • Execute infrastructure modernization, cloud migration, integration, and platform adoption workstreams • Prepare impact assessments, adoption inputs, cutover checklists, support handoff materials, and release readiness documentation • Apply architecture, security, compliance, data protection, sandboxing, and vendor risk controls • Identify, document, and escalate technical risks, constraints, support gaps, compliance considerations, and dependencies • Coordinate audit, compliance, CSV, cybersecurity, Enterprise IT, and vendor activities • Provide status, issue, dependency, and decision updates to the Associate Director and Senior Director • Provide day-to-day technical coordination and coach team members and partners on engineering practices

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or above • 3+ years of professional experience in data, digital, information technology, AI, systems engineering, cloud, infrastructure, integration, platform engineering, or related technical delivery roles • Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, and/or Medical Device industry experience preferred • Experience coordinating technical work across cross-functional, matrixed, vendor, Enterprise IT, or engineering teams • Practical experience with externally developed platforms, SaaS solutions, integration architectures, observability, cloud/hybrid infrastructure, and technical application lifecycle activities • Hands-on ML/AI/genAI development and deployment experience, including RAG, vector stores, AI gateways, agentic workflows, and secure integration patterns • Ability to partner with Enterprise IT, cybersecurity, infrastructure, cloud, identity management, compliance, audit, vendors, and R&D stakeholders • Working knowledge of software lifecycle methodologies, GxP computer systems validation (CSV), 21 CFR Part 11 expectations, and pharmaceutical industry compliance • Strong communication, documentation, technical analysis, issue management, and stakeholder coordination skills • Proficiency in Agile, Scrum, Kanban, Lean, release management, and operational readiness planning • Hands-on programming experience with Python and SQL • Working knowledge of JavaScript / TypeScript • Scripting and automation experience using Bash, PowerShell, or equivalent • Familiarity with R preferred; exposure to Java, C#, or similar enterprise languages is a plus • Understanding of REST APIs, event-driven integration, JSON/XML, authentication, and secure system connectivity • Experience with AWS and/or Azure cloud and platform engineering • Working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or similar tools • Familiarity with Git, branching strategies, pull request reviews, CI/CD, automated testing, and environment promotion controls • Technical awareness of HPC, Linux, job schedulers, and storage layers • Applied knowledge of RAG, embeddings, vector databases, semantic search, model integration, prompt/response controls, secure AI gateways, and agentic workflow orchestration • Ability to implement observability using logs, metrics, traces, telemetry, alerting, dashboards, runbooks, and incident/problem management • Understanding of cybersecurity, identity and access management, data protection, intellectual property safeguards, vendor-hosted platform controls, GxP CSV, and 21 CFR Part 11
