📋 Description

• Architect, manage, and optimize AWS GovCloud environments aligned with business and mission objectives • Design and implement operations planning to improve system performance, reliability, and scalability • Support administrators in deploying and managing IaaS and IaC solutions • Ensure security and compliance of DoD systems • Implement NIST SP 800-171 security controls, DISA STIGs, and DFARS 252.204-7012 requirements • Architect and implement multi-region disaster recovery strategies • Translate strategic goals into operational plans • Introduce improvements to existing systems and processes • Solve complex, ambiguous, and undefined problems • Communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including executive leadership • Deliver high-level briefings to senior leaders and influence decisions • Coach, mentor, and guide technical teams • Lead large, cross-functional initiatives • Serve as technical authority for AWS architecture, cloud security, automation, and enterprise-scale cloud operations

🎯 Requirements

• BA/BS degree or equivalent professional experience • Minimum 10 years of systems/software engineering experience • Active Secret clearance required to begin employment • AWS certifications required • Expertise in AWS cloud architecture, automation, security compliance, and large-scale operational planning • Knowledge of NIST SP 800-171 security controls, DISA STIGs, and DFARS 252.204-7012 requirements • Strong leadership, innovation, and executive-level communication skills • Up to 10% local travel required
