📋 Description

• Manage resources supporting the FOS Core and Simplebid products • Drive feature development and integration of new technologies and best practices into mobile software and web application architecture • Align software engineering practices with business objectives and industry standards • Foster innovation and technical excellence • Collaborate with company leadership and cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, high-quality solutions • Define and communicate technical vision and strategy for software products • Manage scalable, robust, and secure application architecture • Drive coding standards, testing, and DevOps best practices • Manage, mentor, recruit, and retain engineering talent • Conduct performance reviews and create development plans • Translate business requirements into technical solutions with engineering, product management, design, operations, and customer support teams • Develop architectural designs with the Director of Software Engineering, Digital Products • Oversee microservices, cloud-based solutions, and API-driven development initiatives • Evaluate and integrate new technologies, frameworks, and tools • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and to high quality standards • Implement and oversee CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and code reviews • Monitor application performance, security, and reliability against SLAs and customer expectations • Track industry trends and foster experimentation and prototyping • Improve engineering processes, tools, and methodologies • Ensure on-shore and off-shore software teams comply with industry standards and SOC 2 Type 1 and Type 2 requirements • Develop and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity plans

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field • Minimum of 12 years of qualifying experience • Advanced degree or equivalent experience preferred • Extensive experience managing engineering teams • Strong background migrating legacy stacks to modern stacks for complex web-based applications and services • Proven leadership experience managing and scaling engineering teams and products in national markets • Deep understanding of modern software architecture patterns, cloud computing, microservices, APIs, CI/CD, Git, and DevOps practices • Strong problem-solving skills • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies • Familiarity with industry-standard management tools required • Experience with Azure DevOps services and Microsoft Planner preferred • Resume and portfolio required when applying • Ability to complete mandatory compliance training and adhere to internal policies and Code of Conduct
