📋 Description

• Own vision architecture • Enhance production-grade computer vision systems • Lead innovation in pharmacy automation technology • Develop and maintain machine vision software in Python and C++ • Train and maintain detection/classification models • Build annotated image datasets and evaluate model performance against operational metrics • Deploy GPU-based inference solutions • Configure and troubleshoot industrial vision hardware • Diagnose imaging issues and recommend hardware or configuration changes • Administer and troubleshoot Linux systems • Perform networking diagnostics, packet analysis, and connectivity troubleshooting • Integrate REST/gRPC services and connect on-premises systems with cloud environments such as AWS • Report to the Senior Director of Enterprise Architecture • Travel 40%

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced Python expertise with C++ experience for performance-critical applications • Ability to develop maintainable, tested, version-controlled software following engineering best practices • Experience training and maintaining detection/classification models • Experience building annotated image datasets • Experience evaluating model performance against operational metrics • Experience deploying GPU-based inference solutions • Strong understanding of OpenCV, image processing, camera calibration, distortion correction, and barcode/DataMatrix decoding • Hands-on experience with industrial cameras, lenses, lighting, exposure settings, focus, depth of field, and motion analysis • Ability to diagnose imaging issues and recommend hardware or configuration changes • Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting skills • Experience with networking diagnostics, packet analysis, and connectivity troubleshooting • Integration experience using REST/gRPC and connecting on-premises systems with cloud environments such as AWS • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Physics, or a comparable discipline • 10+ years of engineering experience in production machine vision systems • Extensive engineering experience with machine vision or applied computer vision systems operating in live production environments
