📋 Description

• Report to the Director, Infrastructure Operations • Support tooling, pipelines, frameworks, and technologies underpinning company infrastructure platforms • Automate and streamline the software delivery lifecycle using software engineering and DevOps principles • Design, develop, maintain, and optimize secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective AWS cloud infrastructure using Python, Terraform, and Terragrunt • Design, implement, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and AWS CodePipeline • Develop tooling, applications, platforms, modules, and libraries supporting IaC and automation • Provide DevOps-focused full-stack guidance to software engineering teams using Java, Python, Node, and Go • Automate builds and deployments, resolve reliability and performance bottlenecks, and establish documentation • Champion DevOps practices, IaC, CI/CD, cloud technologies, collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement • Mentor team members in DevOps methodologies and operational best practices • Participate in grooming and prioritizing development efforts • Partner with technology teams to draft RFCs, standards, best practices, and design patterns • Research and implement improvements to cloud resources, infrastructure, and systems • Monitor ticket queues, respond to Slack requests, troubleshoot issues, and resolve development tickets • Create tickets and participate in deployments under Change Management procedures • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and lead or contribute to blameless postmortems • Define and manage Service Level Objectives and Service Level Indicators • Evaluate, implement, and support open-source frameworks including ECS/Docker, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, and Kafka • Maintain troubleshooting documentation and deployment Methods of Procedure • Ensure adherence to security standards and support audit processes • Travel to summit meetings or conferences as required, up to 10%

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years hands-on experience managing and automating UNIX/Linux system environments within a DevOps context • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineer or SRE role with a strong DevOps focus • 4+ years designing and implementing infrastructure as code within AWS using Terraform • Mastery of DevOps disciplines and processes, including CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Git, and Artifactory • Expert-level proficiency with Terraform and Terragrunt • Deep expertise in GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD • Strong experience with AWS Cloud services including EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Lambda, EKS/ECS, and CloudWatch • Mastery of observability, monitoring, metrics, and alerting at scale using frameworks such as Prometheus, Thanos, OpenTelemetry, and Grafana • Experience supporting applications developed in Java, Python, and Angular • Expert proficiency in at least one scripting language such as Python, Bash, or Perl and one programming language such as Java, Go, or Node • Mastery of Docker and strong familiarity with the container ecosystem, especially Amazon ECS • Mastery of configuration automation toolsets such as AWS Config, SSM, Puppet, Ansible, or Chef • Hands-on experience with APM tools such as Zipkin, Jaeger, OpenTelemetry, or NewRelic • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Git toolsets • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall process environments • Experience implementing and supporting open-source frameworks and projects relevant to DevOps and SRE • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills • Reliable, high-speed internet • Active U.S. citizenship or green card holder residing in the U.S. for a minimum of 3 years • Satisfactory completion of an extensive Federal Government background check for a Public Trust Position • No visa sponsorship available • Ability to sit for long periods and handle long periods of screen time
