📋 Description

• Report to the Director, Infrastructure Operations • Support tooling, pipelines, frameworks, and technologies underpinning company platforms • Design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable, resilient, and cost-effective AWS cloud infrastructure using Python, Terraform, and Terragrunt • Design, implement, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions and AWS CodePipeline • Develop tooling, applications, and platforms that improve IaC and automation capabilities • Provide DevOps-focused full-stack guidance and support to software engineering teams • Automate builds and deployments and resolve reliability and performance bottlenecks • Champion DevOps practices, IaC, CI/CD, cloud technologies, collaboration, automation, and continuous improvement • Mentor team members in DevOps methodologies and operational best practices • Participate in grooming and prioritizing development efforts • Draft RFCs and standards for infrastructure, applications, platforms, and deployment tooling • Research and implement improvements to cloud resources, infrastructure, and systems • Monitor ticket queues and Slack channels, resolve tickets, and assist with troubleshooting • Create tickets and participate in deployments according to Change Management procedures • Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation and lead or contribute to blameless postmortems • Define and manage SLOs and SLIs • Evaluate, implement, and support open-source frameworks including ECS/Docker, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Kafka • Maintain troubleshooting and deployment documentation • Ensure systems and users follow security standards and support audits • Travel to summit meetings or conferences as required

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years hands-on experience managing and automating UNIX/Linux system environments within a DevOps context • 5+ years of experience in a DevOps Engineer or SRE role with a strong DevOps focus • 4+ years experience designing and implementing infrastructure as code within the AWS ecosystem using Terraform • Mastery in DevOps discipline and processes, including CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, AWS CodePipeline, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Git, and Artifactory • Expert-level proficiency with Terraform and Terragrunt • Deep expertise in GitHub and GitHub Actions for CI/CD • Strong experience with AWS Cloud services and infrastructure design best practices • Mastery of observability, monitoring, metrics, and alerting at scale • Experience supporting applications developed in Java, Python, and Angular • Expert-level proficiency in at least one scripting language and one programming language • Mastery of Docker and familiarity with Amazon ECS • Mastery of configuration automation toolsets such as AWS Config, SSM, Puppet, Ansible, or Chef • Hands-on experience with APM tools such as Zipkin, Jaeger, OpenTelemetry, or NewRelic • Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Git toolset • Hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum and Waterfall environments • Experience implementing and supporting Open Source frameworks and projects relevant to DevOps and SRE • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Strong organization, communication, analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills • Ability to mentor others • Reliable, high speed internet • Active U.S. Citizenship or green card holder residing in the U.S. for a minimum of 3 years • Must be able to sit for long periods and handle long periods of screen time • Eligible for sponsorship: No
