📋 Description

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 10–12 data engineers and DBAs • Contribute to resource planning, organizational design, and talent strategy • Oversee design, delivery, support, and continuous improvement of data platforms and database-driven solutions • Deliver scalable ingestion, transformation, storage, and retrieval solutions for analytics, reporting, and operational use cases • Drive operational excellence through support practices, monitoring, performance optimization, resiliency planning, root cause analysis, automation, and operational risk reduction • Provide leadership across data engineering, database management, and select platform/infrastructure responsibilities • Promote data quality, governance, service reliability, disaster recovery, scalability, and long-term platform health • Partner with engineering, architecture, infrastructure, security, and business teams on reliable, secure, scalable solutions • Translate technical priorities, risks, and improvement opportunities for senior business and IT leaders • Foster engineering excellence, collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, innovation, and responsible use of AI-enabled tools

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering, database engineering, data platform operations, or related engineering disciplines • Experience overseeing enterprise-scale data solutions, including data pipelines, database environments, and operational support responsibilities • 7+ years of experience with SQL, database technologies, data modeling, and database performance optimization • 5+ years of leadership, performance management, and developing engineering teams in a people leader or lead capacity • 5+ years of experience driving operational excellence, service stability, and continuous improvement in complex technology environments • 5+ years of experience working across engineering, infrastructure, security, architecture, and business teams • 2+ years of experience using AI-enabled tools responsibly to improve productivity, analysis, documentation, or operational workflows • Excellent business acumen and communication skills, including ability to engage and influence senior business and IT leaders • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent work experience • Preferred: experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP; Python; Spark; data warehousing; modern data platform tooling • Preferred: experience with platform engineering, infrastructure operations, resiliency planning, disaster recovery, or engineering modernization • Healthcare experience preferred
