📋 Description

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of innovative digital solutions for member experiences • Architect and build cloud-native, microservices-based applications • Apply event-driven architecture, modern technology stacks, and emerging AI technologies • Collaborate with Digital, Data and Analytics, and Platform Engineering teams • Contribute to technical direction and shape digital engineering initiatives • Mentor peers and partner with architects and product teams • Translate business requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions • Own the full software lifecycle from design through deployment and operations • Set technical standards, patterns, frameworks, and best practices • Lead or set the vision for projects or features

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience focused on enterprise-level digital solutions • 4+ years of hands-on experience with Node.js, JavaScript, and TypeScript • Strong proficiency in asynchronous programming and server-side application development • 4+ years of experience building and deploying cloud-based solutions, with preference for AWS • Experience designing, developing, and deploying scalable microservices-based applications • Proficiency in unit testing, integration testing, and code review practices • Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, OpenSearch, and MongoDB, including data modeling and query optimization • Experience with event-driven services, message brokers, and event streaming platforms such as Apache Kafka • Experience building RESTful APIs, middleware, and routing using frameworks such as Express • Proficient understanding of SQL and NoSQL database technologies, including cloud-native database services • Familiarity with emerging AI technologies and practical software development applications • Experience mentoring engineers and reviewing/evaluating work • Ability to set standards, patterns, frameworks, or best practices • Ability to lead or set a vision for a project or feature • Preferred: experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP, especially deploying and managing microservices on AWS • Preferred: experience with serverless architectures and cloud-native design patterns • Preferred: familiarity with open-source frameworks and modern development tooling • Preferred: working knowledge of Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban • Preferred: ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams • Preferred: strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Preferred: excellent verbal and written communication skills • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; alternatively, high school diploma plus 4 years of relevant work experience
