📋 Description

• Design, build, automate, and operate secure, scalable Azure cloud infrastructure • Implement Infrastructure as Code while embedding governance, compliance, security, data quality, and auditability • Develop and maintain the platform engineering ecosystem • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines, self-service capabilities, and resource provisioning frameworks • Enable data scientists and engineers to access compute, data, and ML resources safely • Establish and manage platform operations, including observability, monitoring, alerting, reliability practices, support models, and operational processes • Evaluate, integrate, and optimize emerging technologies and services • Provide practical recommendations and implement modern tooling • Collaborate with platform leadership, engineering teams, and internal customers • Translate requirements into well-engineered solutions • Mentor junior engineers • Contribute to technical standards and documentation • Foster technical excellence, continuous learning, and collaboration

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience • Hands-on data and/or AI/ML infrastructure experience • CS/Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience • Deep, hands-on expertise with at least one major cloud platform (AWS or Azure) • Working familiarity with multi-cloud environments and data and AI services • Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform or Pulumi • Experience with CI/CD tooling, such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI • Experience with containerization/orchestration, including Docker and Kubernetes • Proficiency in at least one of Python, Go, or Bash • Solid security and networking fundamentals • Production systems experience, including monitoring, observability, incident response, and reliability practices • Ability to set technical direction at platform scale • Ability to drive cross-team architecture and design decisions • Ability to establish standards and mentor engineers • Ability to travel up to 10% • Preferred: experience in life sciences, diagnostics, or biotechnology • Preferred: experience with HIPAA, GxP, SOX, regulatory standards, compliance frameworks, and rigorous data governance • Preferred: experience working in a matrixed environment
