📋 Description

• Lead complex mainframe solution design and delivery initiatives for existing customers and new-logo opportunities • Drive strategic architecture for mainframe modernization, hybrid integration, and mission-critical platform enhancements • Design and oversee cross-solution impact assessments aligned with enterprise architecture, system integration, and business requirements • Ensure solution integrity across complex mainframe environments and hybrid-cloud connectivity scenarios • Provide technical direction to Solution Architects on technology choices, best practices, and design patterns • Engage client stakeholders, gather technical and business requirements, and translate input into process and data flows • Maintain client mainframe solution roadmaps incorporating technical changes, emerging technologies, and standard components • Define, scope, and estimate mainframe projects, including new business and account expansions • Monitor implementation progress against SLAs and proactively mitigate risks • Ensure designs meet functional, technical, regulatory, and SLA requirements • Document and share architecture best practices, case studies, and lessons learned • Advise management, technical teams, and clients on mainframe architecture and emerging solutions • Mentor and develop Solution Architects • Define and promote solution standards, methodologies, processes, and continuous-improvement practices • Develop relationships with product teams and provide feedback on mainframe product enhancements

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience in technical roles • Minimum 3 years in architect or senior technical leadership roles • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with mainframe platforms, including z/OS, CICS, IMS, DB2, or equivalent • Minimum 5 years of experience in an external client-facing environment managing complex stakeholder relationships • Minimum 5 years of experience with change management procedures and enterprise solution governance • Minimum 6 years of Ensono experience, or equivalent experience with mainframe managed service providers or systems integrators • Demonstrated expertise in mainframe modernization, cloud-to-mainframe integration, or hybrid mainframe architectures • Strong knowledge of Ensono Delivery Methodology, Solution Center Framework, and Ensono mainframe service offerings • Ability to lead scoping, estimation, and pre-sales activities • Proficiency with Ensono estimation tools and methodologies • Familiarity with Ensono project-management and development methodologies • Bonus: experience with RACF, ACF2, TSS, HIPAA, PCI-DSS, or SOX • Bonus: knowledge of mainframe DevOps, container technologies, or API-first architecture • Bonus: certifications in mainframe technologies or AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud • Bonus: experience leading mainframe migrations or platform consolidations
