📋 Description

• Maintain complex data systems and improve existing processes • Build new data solutions for Pharmacy Benefit Management clients • Collaborate with peer engineers, business stakeholders, Product Owners, and cross-functional teams • Work in an Agile development environment and participate in Scrum ceremonies • Design, develop, test, debug, and deliver solutions according to requirements and schedules • Maintain VisualCron schedules, SQL/ETL procedures, reporting, and existing .NET applications • Troubleshoot pharmacy claim-related issues, reports, and processes • Support SQL code tied to NCPDP Pharmacy Encounter data submissions • Produce detailed technical specifications based on requirements and design • Monitor and optimize database performance through query tuning and indexing strategies • Review processes and recommend reliable, maintainable code • Analyze software requirements and assess design feasibility within time and cost constraints • Serve as a technical expert in designing, coding, testing, and debugging software and complex enhancements • Integrate new technologies with cloud and product infrastructure • Raise problems and solutions to staff engineers and management • Communicate solutions, updates, changes, and risks to stakeholders • Mentor team members and share knowledge • Keep abreast of database development trends and best practices

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or 4+ years of related experience and/or equivalent combination of education and experience required • 10+ years of SQL database development using the Microsoft SQL Server toolset, including SSIS, SSRS, SSMS, SSAS, and RDBMS • 5+ years of experience with data warehouse methodologies • Proficiency in database design, normalization, and data modeling • Strong ability with dimensional data modeling and OLAP principles • Expertise in query tuning, performance optimization, and troubleshooting • Familiarity with cloud-based database solutions such as Azure SQL Database and AWS RDS • Advanced SQL skills, including data modeling, DBO creation and management, and indexing • Experience implementing high-availability, high-throughput, scalable systems • Expertise diagnosing application and database issues, performing root cause analysis, and recommending corrective actions • Experience with PowerShell and Python • Experience using AWS, GitLab, and Visual Studio • Familiarity with .NET, C#, JSON, XML, VisualCron, and Power BI • Familiarity with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI and Tableau • Knowledge of non-relational databases such as MongoDB and Cassandra, and big data technologies such as Hadoop and Spark • Knowledge of NCPDP, HL7, ANSI X12, and/or related drug database terminologies and classifications • Knowledge of Medicare Part D, PDE submissions and returns, pharmacy claims, and benefit management • Ability to architect, design, develop, and implement microservice and monolithic architectures • Ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision • Must be able to commute to multiple site locations within the assigned territory • Availability outside normal business hours on an ad-hoc basis • Applicants must be eligible to work in this country
