📋 Description

• Process semi-monthly payroll for U.S. multi-state, Canada, and international employees while ensuring compliance with country, federal, and state regulations • Review and verify timesheets, earnings, and deductions • Respond to employee payroll inquiries, explain payroll matters, and resolve issues promptly • Collaborate with HR to process new hires, terminations, and compensation adjustments • Maintain payroll records and ensure data accuracy • Prepare payroll reconciliations for benefits • Ensure compliance with federal and state payroll regulations • Assist with year-end reporting, system upgrades, and process improvements • Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts between the accounting and payroll systems • Identify and explain month-to-month and quarter-to-quarter payroll account variances • Keep payroll policies and flowcharts current • Generate and analyze payroll reports for finance, tax filings, and compliance audits • Lead year-end payroll activities, including preparing and distributing W-2s or other tax forms and completing year-end reconciliations

🎯 Requirements

• Associate’s degree or 2+ years of payroll experience • Working knowledge of payroll laws and regulations • Analytical and problem-solving skills • In-depth understanding of payroll processes • Ability to process accurate data while meeting deadlines • Ability to handle confidential information • Ability to communicate effectively with employees, HR, Finance, and external agencies • Strong Excel skills • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred • Experience with payroll systems such as UKG preferred • Experience processing multi-state, Canadian, or international payroll is a plus
