📋 Description

• Design, build, and maintain websites and software applications for the Enterprise Product Solutions Services group • Bridge visual design and technical implementation • Collaborate with design, development, product, business analyst, architecture, and engineering teams • Translate UI/UX wireframes into high-quality code • Develop front-end and back-end applications and software tools to automate and improve business processes • Lead medium to large projects from analysis through implementation • Integrate application internal structures and operations with back-end services • Optimize applications for speed and scalability across browsers and devices • Create technical designs using Ferguson’s architecture • Conduct design and code reviews according to coding standards and design templates • Develop and perform unit and interface testing • Debug issues and improve performance and user experience • Address requirements questions with business analysts and product owners • Provide development estimates and meet deadlines • Mentor and guide other developers • Analyze sophisticated problems and implement solutions using current technologies • Design and implement the Integration Services CI/CD pipeline • Support tool and core component upgrades and align with security patches • Own solutions end to end and perform recurring technical checkpoints and audit loops • Provide technical leadership on sophisticated projects and act as an escalation point for production outages • Review team practices and identify improvements • Work with vendors to resolve third-level support issues • Participate in associate meetings and communicate concerns to management • Perform other duties requested by management

🎯 Requirements

• Five (5) years of development experience preferred • At least 5+ years of professional IT experience • At least 3 years of hands-on implementation experience leading high-stakes and sophisticated IT projects • A bachelor’s degree in a Computer-related or Business-related field or relevant work experience is typically required • Expert-level experience developing Java services in an enterprise environment • Proven experience as a Front-End/Web Engineer or similar role • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern JavaScript frameworks, including ReactJS or Angular; ReactJS preferred • Proficiency with Git or similar version control systems • Experience with relational databases such as Oracle or SQL Server • Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as CosmosDB or MongoDB • Proficiency with REST and SOAP web services development • Familiarity with Azure or AWS • Understanding of OAuth and JSON Web Tokens (JWT) • Understanding of Terraform/Infrastructure and ability to write Terraform and provision infrastructure • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software • Ability to create technical design documents and presentations using Microsoft Visio and Microsoft PowerPoint • Experience or exposure to Agile Scrum and Kanban, with JIRA for board management • Skilled in Java, AKS/Azure Kubernetes Service, Linux and Bash scripting, Azure Key Vault, Azure Service Bus, MongoDB/relational databases • Familiarity with IntelliJ, Eclipse, Maven, Bitbucket, Git, and GitHub • Expert-level experience developing REST-style services returning JSON and XML • Foundational knowledge of Microsoft Azure • Ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally • Strong analytical, problem-solving, attention-to-detail, initiative, adaptability, and consensus-building abilities • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting
