📋 Description

• Design, build, and operate secure, high-performance SQL Server and Redshift databases powering myFICO.com • Perform data modeling and production support • Build and maintain Python ETL/ELT pipelines across operational systems, the data warehouse, and analytics platforms • Explore data in Jupyter notebooks and prepare datasets for ML and AI applications • Convert prototypes into scheduled, monitored production pipelines • Tune queries, indexes, and schemas to resolve latency, blocking, and deadlocks • Use AI coding assistants, LLMs, and agentic workflows to accelerate delivery • Collaborate with product and marketing teams to modernize data environments and support analytics and AI use cases • Own production activities including code review, release management, and on-call support

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field • Demonstrated experience in data and database engineering • Hands-on Microsoft SQL Server administration, including configuration, security and permissions, backup and recovery, index and statistics maintenance, monitoring, and HA/DR • Expertise writing and tuning complex SQL queries and stored procedures • PowerShell scripting for SQL Server automation • Strong Python for data engineering, including pandas, NumPy, SQLAlchemy, or PySpark • Experience with Jupyter notebooks, transformation pipelines, and data warehouse models • Hands-on Amazon Redshift administration and tuning • Experience running and securing data platforms in AWS, including encryption and access control for sensitive consumer data • Workflow orchestration with Airflow, Step Functions, or similar • CI/CD for database and pipeline code • Production ownership, code review, release management, and on-call support • Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams • Strong communication skills • Experience with AI data pipelines, ML tools, NoSQL databases, infrastructure as code, BI tools, and/or AWS certifications is a plus
