📋 Description

• Design and oversee high-scale, mission-critical production systems that are modular, composable, and extensible • Drive modernization of legacy systems toward a modern target-state architecture • Bridge Engineering and non-technical stakeholders to align business needs with technical designs • Create technical documentation and complex system diagrams • Facilitate design sessions and distributed conversations while preserving engineering team ownership • Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, for performance, cost efficiency, and regional deployment needs • Mentor engineering teams and foster technical excellence and continuous learning • Monitor computing technologies and emerging trends for potential adoption

🎯 Requirements

• Extensive experience building and operating large-scale distributed systems • Advanced proficiency in high-level service design and scalable interface modeling • Deep working knowledge of data persistence layers and technology selection for specific use cases • Significant experience with a major public cloud provider; AWS preferred • Exceptional verbal, written, and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences • Hospitality-focused, service-oriented leadership approach • Ability to propose solutions, integrate critical feedback, and focus on product outcomes • Proven domain expertise in a specific area such as Front-end or Data Architecture • Broad understanding of the full stack
