📋 Description

• Manage multiple software engineering teams designing and implementing features and functionality to scale FloQast’s B2B SaaS products and platforms • Balance people management, leadership, and technical leadership responsibilities • Recruit and hire software engineers and managers • Mentor and lead current software engineering teams toward building world-class software • Collaborate within teams, with other teams, managers, and senior leadership to create an engineering culture of excellence • Lead, manage, mentor, and develop software engineers and engineering managers • Collaborate with product managers, QA, architecture, security, and DevOps teams using lean software development, DevOps, and Agile principles • Participate in recruiting and interview efforts • Improve engineering department processes, practices, and culture • Promote automated testing, CI/CD, DevOps, and lean software development practices • Cultivate innovative, egoless, high-trust problem solving • Collaborate with HR, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success on cross-department projects • Report to the VP of Engineering

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering management experience with a track record of leading software engineering teams to deliver products to a paying customer base (B2B preferred, B2C or eCommerce) • 5+ years of experience as an individual contributor as a software engineer, preferably using open source software and platforms • 5+ years working on teams using Agile methodologies and an iterative process (Scrum, Kanban, XP) to deliver software to market • Experience recruiting, interviewing and hiring personnel in software engineering and management roles • Experience managing and coaching individuals’ and managers’ performance through review processes and providing guidance and feedback • Experience managing more than 1 software engineering team simultaneously, including managing managers of software engineering teams • Experience leading and managing geographically distributed and remote teams • Positive and enthusiastic team player with strong interpersonal skills and collaborative orientation • Experience working on SaaS products with real, paying customers • Hands-on experience with MongoDB, Express, React and Node (MERN) • Experience with AWS technologies and cloud infrastructures • Visa sponsorship is not available
