📋 Description

• Lead the Infrastructure team responsible for keeping Patreon’s engineering organization fast and reliable • Own the roadmap and execution across the platform • Balance reliability work focused on keeping the site up with investments that make every engineer faster • Manage and grow individual contributors • Own hiring, performance, and career development for the organization • Own operational excellence, including observability standards, on-call structure, incident response, SLAs/SLOs, and Production Readiness Reviews (PRR) • Partner with Product Engineering, Security, and Data leaders • Ensure infrastructure and tooling decisions do not become bottlenecks for product delivery

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of engineering experience • 5+ years in engineering management • Ideally, experience managing managers or senior ICs across multiple teams • Direct experience leading infrastructure, platform, or developer-productivity teams supporting a consumer product at scale • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) • Familiarity with Kubernetes • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tooling • Comfort operating scalable production systems with high availability and performance requirements • Experience standing up or scaling developer tooling (CI/CD, testing platforms, internal dev environments) is nice to have • Exposure to AI-assisted software development is nice to have • Direct experience rolling out AI coding tools/agents at an organizational level, including adoption metrics and guardrails, is nice to have • Ability to work fully remotely or be in-office 3 days per week in New York or San Francisco
