📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain back-end services and interfaces using Java and Spring Boot • Work with PostgreSQL and relational databases for data storage, retrieval, and management • Contribute to the next version of drug utilization review tools • Help lead automated testing, including unit, integration, and performance tests • Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production-system issues • Write clean, scalable, maintainable code aligned with coding standards • Provide constructive feedback through code review • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, retrospectives, and quarterly planning across teams • Work as part of a small scrum team within a larger program modernizing a CMS Medicaid drug-pricing platform

🎯 Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software development experience • Strong Java programming ability • Working proficiency with Spring Boot • Solid database design and data modeling skills • Experience creating and maintaining data models • Ability to read, understand, and safely change a large codebase not originally written by the candidate • Experience with version control systems such as Git • Experience with CI/CD pipelines • Experience writing automated tests • Experience working in Agile development environments • Familiarity with front-end frameworks such as Angular is a plus • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure is a plus • Prior healthcare, Medicaid, or public-benefits systems experience is a plus • Must perform all work physically within the United States • Must be a United States citizen • Must be able to pass a government-performed public trust background check • Humble and caring attitude aligned with For People's values
