📋 Description

• Lead the analysis, design, development, and maintenance of business-critical IBM i applications • Provide consulting services supporting clients’ business application systems • Support clients in resolving application issues and identifying business needs • Deliver solutions throughout the full project life cycle • Analyze, design, code, and test software applications using all versions of RPG and SQL • Ensure program and application integrity through unit, integration, smoke, and other testing phases • Create textual and visual system architecture documentation for technical and non-technical stakeholders • Lead small technical teams when required • Lead code reviews for database and logic changes • Support modernization of legacy business applications into modern, scalable ILE applications • Work independently and collaboratively with clients and teams

🎯 Requirements

• 20+ years of proven experience with the IBM i (iSeries/AS/400) platform • Mastery of various forms of RPG, especially RPGLE, including Free-form syntax and embedded SQL • Proven hands-on experience with JDA/MMS (Mandatory) • Expert-level DB2 application programming and database design • Deep understanding of ILE concepts, including Modules, Service Programs, and Binding Directories • Experience navigating structured deployment and version control processes • Verbal and written communication with various levels of client personnel • Ability to explain technical concepts to business stakeholders and developers • Experience with major IBM i ERP systems, RDi or Eclipse-based IDEs, Git or SVN, Impact Analysis tools, APIs, JSON, XML, or GoAnywhere is nice to have
