📋 Description

• Evaluate the quality of interactions with modern coding agents such as OpenAI Codex and Claude Code • Assess AI coding-agent behavior in real-world scenarios • Evaluate whether responses make sense and whether preambles and reasoning are useful • Judge whether outputs reflect strong engineering judgment • Assess the quality of explanations and reasoning, not just code • Distinguish between different levels of response quality • Provide clear, opinionated feedback on what worked, what did not, and what felt off or misleading • Help define what great looks like when interacting with tools like Cursor • Make subjective but rigorous judgments about AI-assisted engineering interactions

🎯 Requirements

• Highly experienced software engineer (SR+) • Staff / Principal-level engineer (or equivalent experience) • Strong background in TypeScript / JavaScript or Python • Hands-on experience using OpenAI Codex, Claude Code, and Cursor • Deep familiarity with modern AI-assisted development workflows • Able to evaluate code without needing to fully execute or deeply review every line • Comfortable giving direct, opinionated feedback • High bar for what “good engineering” looks like • Experience with tools like Cursor or similar AI-first IDEs (nice to have) • Prior exposure to prompt design or evaluation workflows (nice to have) • Experience mentoring senior engineers or defining engineering standards (nice to have) • Take-home evaluation exercise and one behavioral interview • Agreement to a simple background check for this project is requested in the application form
