📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain Java/Spring Boot applications and REST APIs • Leverage AI tools such as GitHub Copilot and CodeX to accelerate development, testing, documentation, and code reviews • Develop configurable workflows, business rules, reporting, and user-facing functionality • Create and maintain automated unit, integration, and regression tests • Collaborate with Product, QA, Architecture, and Business teams to deliver healthcare and public health solutions • Participate in modernization initiatives and adoption of AI-driven engineering practices • Ensure code quality, security, performance, and maintainability • Support development and modernization of a large-scale Java-based Immunization Information System

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Java application development • Strong experience with Java and Spring Boot • Strong experience with REST APIs • Strong experience with SQL (Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL) • Strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript • Strong experience with Git and CI/CD pipelines • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, CodeX, and Claude • Knowledge of software design patterns • Knowledge of testing frameworks • Knowledge of secure coding practices • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills • Experience with Healthcare, Public Health, Medicaid, or IIS systems preferred • Knowledge of HL7/FHIR interoperability standards preferred • Experience with configurable or metadata-driven application frameworks preferred • Familiarity with cloud-native development and DevOps practices preferred • Ability to work from anywhere in the US
