• Support the HIGLAS program for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as part of the Application Configuration team • Serve as a technical subject matter expert for release automation and orchestration • Support migration to a mature DevSecOps culture • Design, implement, and maintain deployment automation tooling in an Oracle environment • Build release pipelines • Provide technical direction and mentor developers • Modernize legacy deployment processes into a secure, auditable, pipeline-driven model • Automate environment cloning, synchronization, and refresh activities • Establish and enforce standardized, auditable deployment processes • Maintain documentation and train team members • Provide technical support for emergency changes and off-hours deployment activities • Automate code migration from development through production for applications and infrastructure • Contribute to a forward-looking DevSecOps roadmap • Drive continuous improvement of DevSecOps tools and processes • Coach teams migrating from legacy deployment processes • Partner with Security to embed controls, scanning, and compliance checks into pipelines • Ensure pipeline traceability, auditability, and policy enforcement • Administer and optimize FlexDeploy • Administer and enhance GitLab, including repository automation, standardization, branching strategy, merge controls, conflict detection, and remediation • Expand automation coverage to reduce manual touchpoints and shorten cycle time • Govern the toolchain for compliance with program and policy requirements • Define 3–5 execution-level KPIs for pipeline health and anomaly identification • Communicate progress through clear, data-backed reporting • Report to the DevOps Engineer Principal
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent hands-on experience • 5+ years of deep, hands-on experience with DevOps, Release Engineering, or DevSecOps roles • Experience with release automation, specifically FlexDeploy or comparable enterprise release orchestration tooling • Experience with GitLab, including branching/merging strategy design and automation trigger configuration • Experience with Jenkins and GitLab CI • Experience with Ansible or comparable configuration management/automation tools • Experience with Oracle Cloud Integration or comparable cloud integration tools • Experience with environment cloning, configuration management, and release governance at scale • Strong hands-on experience with CI/CD, pipeline design, and automation • Demonstrated programming ability and strong grasp of infrastructure and application architecture • Familiarity with Agile and ITIL practices, including ServiceNow • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting ability • Participation in after-hours and weekend support as part of an on-call rotation • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance • Must have lived in the United States at least 3 of the last 5 years • Experience integrating AI-driven capabilities into automation toolchains or release workflows • Experience with Oracle products, specifically Oracle EBS • Background in regulated or highly controlled environments • Experience with cloud environments; Oracle Cloud preferred • Familiarity with compliance frameworks and audit support processes • Understanding of continuous testing principles, including UFT/QPT or similar products • ITIL Foundation certification v3 or higher preferred • No US citizenship required
