📋 Description

• Administer Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) activities, including COBA Crossover Process, Section 111, and Data Sharing Agreements • Troubleshoot and diagnose direct file transfer and COBSW issues • Provide front-line customer service and stakeholder education through the EDI Hotline • Monitor file processing between mainframe and distributed systems • Compile error reports and communicate with trading partners, programmers, insurers, employers, Medicare contractors, and CMS to resolve issues • Resolve stakeholder issues within SLAs, returning emails, voicemails, and work items within two business days • Provide EDI Hotline support while maintaining schedule adherence, monitoring AUX code limits, and minimizing missed calls • Troubleshoot data file transmission and transaction errors and verify communication links and interfaces • Manage daily workflow queues across MIRA, BCRS, ECRS, and internal tracking spreadsheets • Establish, document, and maintain EDI procedures and reconcile EDI transactions • Maintain the EDI Inquiry Problem database through issue resolution with standardized documentation • Audit EDI transactions and maintain EDI maps and business rules for HIPAA validation software • Monitor and resolve claim file transmission or content problems • Analyze claim crossover inquiries related to eligibility files and billing • Lead or interface with management, technical application teams, and business partners to define project specifications, timelines, and deliverables • Initiate and facilitate client meetings for ongoing and prospective projects • Identify new business opportunities, systems, processes, and operational improvements • Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external trading partners • Train customers and employees on data exchange processes and systems • Coordinate tasks with BCRC partners to ensure correctly formatted EDI information • Assist with User Acceptance Testing of system enhancements • Develop and update educational material for the COBSW site • Support customers transitioning from testing to production • Respond to CMS Central Office and Regional Office inquiries • Perform other EDI mission duties as directed by management

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of related experience • Bachelor’s Degree or appropriate combination of post-secondary education and relevant work experience • Experience as a Customer Support Specialist or similar CS role • Strong analytical and research skills • Effective communication with all levels of management and communities • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • PC skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products • Designated office space in order to work from home • Technical support experience desired • Proficiency in Amazon Web Services (AWS) desired • Experience researching and analyzing file layouts, specifically 837 flat files, desired • Knowledge of Medicare Part A, B, C, and D desired • Knowledge of health insurance concepts and/or HIPAA EDI 837 desired • Knowledge of data processing systems and hardware, particularly personal computers, desired • Knowledge of Professional and Institutional file structures and guidelines desired • Knowledge of NDM (Connect Direct), FTP, dedicated connections, and telecommunications software/concepts desired • Experience maintaining trading partner accounts in a high-volume operation desired • Working knowledge of EDI data translation/validator support, including Sterling Gentran/Ingenix Faciledi, desired • Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills desired • Ability to learn new concepts quickly and independently while maintaining effective communications desired • Past experience working remotely in an at-home office desired
