📋 Description

• Support the Financial Management Business Transformation (FMBT) Interface and Data Conversion Team supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs • Work with analysts and users to define and refine data conversion requirements • Automate scripts and DevOps processes using job schedulers, Windows executables, Jenkins, Python pipelines, and related tools • Perform Oracle/SQL scripting • Execute ETL and database conversion activities • Develop scripts using Windows Command, PowerShell, AIX/Linux/Unix, and Perl • Implement system integrations within an Enterprise Service Bus • Manage web-service and file-based interactions with legacy systems • Develop web services using SOAP, XML, WSDL, WS-Security, and/or JSON • Develop and deploy services in Red Hat OpenShift or other container platforms • Develop interfaces and execute large-scale data conversions • Perform data reconciliation or migration across data platforms, formats, and technologies

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and 6 years of relevant experience; additional experience may be substituted in lieu of education • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance • US citizenship is required • Experience with script automation/DevOps tools, including job schedulers, Windows executables, Jenkins, and Python pipelines • Advanced experience with Oracle/SQL scripting • ETL or database conversion experience • Windows Command, PowerShell, AIX/Linux/Unix, or Perl scripting experience • Ability to work flexible hours, including long hours, nights, and weekends as needed • Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, written, and oral communication skills • Ability to work independently and with a team • Ability to handle multiple and shifting priorities while meeting deadlines • Knowledge of financial/acquisitions systems implementations • Experience implementing Agile methodologies • Experience with Momentum Financials and Momentum database • Experience with Red Hat JBoss Enterprise Application Platform and Red Hat Fuse • Senior-level experience implementing system integrations within an Enterprise Service Bus • Web services development using SOAP, XML, WSDL, WS-Security, and/or JSON • Experience deploying services in Red Hat OpenShift or other container platforms • Development experience with Java, Python, or another modern programming language • Expertise in interfaces and/or large-scale data conversions • Understanding of data reconciliation or migration across data platforms, formats, and technologies • Experience with Microsoft or Azure Data services • Experience with data analytics or data cleansing tools and services • SharePoint development experience
