• Participate in technical and business discussions on the future architecture of Appian workflow and business process automation solutions • Analyze, design, and develop architecture roadmaps and implementation plans • Gather and translate business, process, data, and technical requirements into scalable Appian solution designs • Participate in Enterprise Architecture governance and align solutions with enterprise standards, security requirements, and integration patterns • Develop reusable Appian components, shared objects, integrations, and design patterns • Research emerging technologies, Appian capabilities, and industry trends • Lead Appian solution architecture, technical design patterns, and implementation best practices • Perform hands-on Appian development across user interfaces, records, process models, data fabric objects, business rules, reports, and integrations • Conduct technical design and code reviews and reinforce development standards and maintainability practices • Collaborate with product owners, subject matter experts, administrators, architects, and delivery teams • Incorporate performance, security, compliance, and supportability into solution designs • Drive continuous improvement through DevOps, CI/CD alignment, reusable components, and standardized development practices • Document solution architectures, reference implementations, technical standards, and architectural decision logs • Mentor and coach developers
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with at least 4 years of professional experience, OR an associate degree with at least 7 years of professional experience, OR a high school diploma with at least 9 years of professional experience • Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Distinct Area of Work or IT • Military experience is equivalent to professional experience • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; employment visa sponsorship is not available now or in the future • Ability to consult with customers and stakeholders on enterprise-level Appian solutions • Ability to create solution roadmaps and implementation plans • Working knowledge of Appian configuration, delivery, support, and scalability implications • Knowledge of Appian process orchestration, records, interfaces, data modeling, integrations, and governance • Understanding of the full software delivery lifecycle • Experience integrating Appian with legacy and enterprise technologies • Familiarity with software development and process automation concepts • Experience developing software in a web-based environment • Understanding of integration patterns, data modeling, workflow orchestration, and enterprise application architecture • Experience performing technical reviews and guiding solution quality, supportability, and maintainability • Strong interpersonal, presentation, storytelling, analytical thinking, and problem-resolution skills • Ability to work with or lead blended teams and influence IT teams, architects, and leadership • Ability to mentor and coach team members • Appian certifications are preferred • Experience defining Appian development standards, reusable frameworks, and governance practices is preferred • Experience supporting multiple applications or workflow/process automation portfolios is preferred • Full-stack development background across UI, process, data, and integration layers is preferred
