• Provide an interface between Supplier Quality, Sourcing, Engineering, and Quality Value Streams for supplier quality development and product qualification in the MSD&BoP mechanical commodity scope • Contribute to Strategic Sourcing strategy by identifying quality risks, qualification gaps, and resource needs early • Support the Regional MSD&BoP SQ Leader in developing and implementing a global strategic plan for systemic supplier issues • Define, maintain, and harmonize standard work for welding and NDT process qualification and supplier development • Coordinate technical and quality methodology support for product qualifications, critical process audits, PFMEAs, RCAs/RCIs, and quality improvement programs • Develop team technical capability, manage expertise pools, identify gaps, and define training programs • Establish and lead the global network of Supplier Quality Engineers for MSD&BoP mechanical suppliers • Provide technical mentoring and training and promote excellence standards • Communicate technical information internally and externally with customers, suppliers, local authorities, and normative entities • Plan proactive global audit programs and define product qualification requirements • Audit manufacturing processes at critical suppliers and top offenders • Lead or technically support root cause analyses • Update technical work instructions, specifications, and design practices; identify and eliminate non-value-adding processes • Disseminate lessons learned and develop supplier read-across programs • Participate in Strategic Sourcing commodity reviews • Address quality risks, qualification needs, budget constraints, and expertise gaps for new product qualifications and supplier introductions • Lead supplier development programs to improve manufacturing process performance and supplier quality • Execute Supplier Quality Engineer activities at critical mechanical suppliers in APAC for up to 50% of work time • Develop and monitor supplier quality from qualification through final inspection and shipment release • Evaluate and onboard new suppliers, including quality and compliance audits • Support technical tender analysis and lead supplier qualification with cross-functional partners • Prepare QCP, ITPL, and product testing procedures • Perform FAT and PSI; organize and perform supplier inspections • Develop and execute surveillance audit plans • Own SRG metrics and conduct SRG audits in APAC • Manage SDRs, NCRs, and RCAs and resolve complex cross-functional quality issues • Support supplier DFMEAs and PFMEAs • Execute quality improvement programs with top-offender suppliers • Review and approve supplier End of Manufacturing Reports and release shipments
• Minimum bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Material, Design or Quality Engineering from an accredited university or college • 5+ years of experience in supplier quality or operations/supply chain • Preferably experience in the power industry • Proficiency in understanding technical procedures, drawings, specifications, and standards • Must be able to travel 25% • Fluent in English language • Experience working within complex, multi-site, multi-region organizations • Strong organizational, interpersonal and facilitation skills • Strong problem solving skills • Demonstrated leadership in defining the state of the art in technical expertise and pursuing correct engineering processes • Ability to train, mentor and coach individuals and teams • Excellent written and verbal communication skills across organizational levels, departments, and functions • Highly developed safety, compliance, quality, and lean mindset • Humble, open, collaborative, and continuously learning • Proficient with FMEA, 8D, and problem-solving methodologies • Experience with PLM, ERP, and supplier management tools • Experience interfacing with customers and senior leaders
