📋 Description

• Influence the roadmap and personal career objectives • Collaborate with the team to deliver new features and iterate based on results • Drive projects from initial idea through customer operations • Contribute to open-source projects beyond the team’s direct scope • Design, build, operate and maintain critical systems • Own system reliability, performance and availability • Participate in follow-the-sun on-call rotations and own operated services • Support team members and participate in design discussions • Learn the cloud product and large distributed-system codebase • Write and review pull requests and design documents • Shepherd automated release rollouts • Optimize efficiency and resilience of metrics processing, storage and querying

🎯 Requirements

• Candidates must be based in the US or Canada • Solid experience with at least one programming language; familiarity with Go, Python, C, C++, Rust or similar • Experience delivering projects from requirements gathering through product shipment • Experience developing software that runs in the Cloud or experience with systems engineering • Experience with on-call and following the DevOps model • Experience writing clean, robust, performant, maintainable software • Familiarity with observability systems, including metrics, logs and traces • Experience with Kubernetes is highly desirable • Experience with queue systems, such as the Kafka protocol • Experience using Grafana and Prometheus in operational roles • Exposure to microservices architecture and distributed systems, or willingness to learn • Familiarity with infrastructure as code
