📋 Description

• Build, evaluate, and harden the AI agent's orchestration, context, tools, and evaluations • Own end-to-end slices including prompt and context architecture, retrieval over policy and coverage data, tool and API calls into core claims systems, and human handoff • Build and run the evaluation loop, including golden sets, trajectory evaluation, LLM-as-judge, and error analysis on real production call traces • Make evaluations gate releases • Increase containment and resolution rates while preserving accuracy • Instrument the system to identify changes in containment, resolution, and accuracy • Work on the voice path, including turn-taking, interruption, latency budgets, and the LiveKit and SIP telephony layer • Attend carrier calls and listen to recordings to identify conversation issues and improvements • Help determine what the agent should do next and decide when to launch an MVP or slow down for claims workflow accuracy

🎯 Requirements

• Experience building and deploying AI applications, including an LLM application used by real users • Fluency in LLMs, context engineering, RAG, and agentic workflows • Real ML and deep learning depth • Experience with disciplined evals, error analysis, and statistical measurement • Software engineering fundamentals, including cost, latency, reliability, and scalability tradeoffs • Experience designing data stores and distributed systems • Ability to write tests • Commitment to security and privacy for claims data, recorded calls, and PII • Experience advocating CI/CD process automation • Daily experience using coding agents • Product sense and enough insurance context to shape agent behavior and priorities • Willingness to keep learning as the field changes • Nice to have: real-time or streaming voice systems (ASR, TTS, telephony, SBC/SIPREC) • Nice to have: insurance, claims, or another regulated domain experience • Nice to have: internal eval or observability tooling experience • Nice to have: machine learning principles or experience experimenting with, training, and deploying models in production • Nice to have: P&C insurance or Guidewire products and services exposure • Nice to have: prompt or pipeline optimization frameworks such as DSPy or GEPA applied to a production system
